Mark Shelton’s walk has begun!
On a very warm Launceston morning, Lyons MP Mark Shelton has embarked on his five day long fundraising walk for St.Giles.
Cheered on by Amy Road staff, Mr Shelton, St.Giles CEO Honni Pitt, Launceston Mayor Matthew Garwood, MP Simon Wood and MLC Jo Palmer set off at 9:30am and set a quick pace as they walked through the Kings Meadows shopping precinct.
Mr Shelton and Ms Pitt continued walking beyond the city boundary towards Perth, where a lunch stop is planned while being joined by Northern Midlands deputy mayor Janet Lambert.
The member for Lyons will be walking from February 12th to 16th:
Day 1: Launceston to Epping Forest
Day 2: Epping Forest to Ross
Day 3: Ross to Jericho
Day 4: Jericho to Brighton
Day 5: Brighton to Hobart
