At StGiles we recognise the ability to communicate is a basic human right.
Speaking is only part of communicating. A Speech Pathologist encompasses all aspects of communication including speech, writing, reading, symbols and gestures in overcoming communication difficulties.
We provide thorough assessments and therapy services for those experiencing delays in reaching their milestones, who are talking less than their peers, having difficulties following instructions, stuttering or getting stuck on words, having difficulties being understood by others, have a harsh or nasal voice quality, find it challenging to interact with others or who have difficulties with eating and drinking.
As you don’t generally need a referral from a GP it’s easy to visit us at StGiles to be treated by one of our Speech Therapists. We
offer screening, comprehensive assessment, consultative services, parent/carer education sessions, individual therapy and group therapy options, prescription of special needs equipment and even training for other professionals.
StGiles offers both public and private Speech Pathology
