Better Start for Children with a Disability
StGiles is a registered provider of services for Better Start for Children with Disability. This is a Federal Government initiative to support families of children aged 0-6 years with specific disabilities to gain more intensive early intervention support.
We offer either individual or group intervention programs by therapy service professionals such as Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists.
Occupational Therapists support the development of play, learning, sensory, fine motor and self care skills and specialist equipment to promote independence including assistive technology items for learning, communication and mobility.
Physiotherapists assist children with early motor milestone development, mobility, gross motor skills and specialist physical equipment to assist with mobility.
Speech Pathologists assist children with complex developmental needs, communication difficulties and feeding difficulties and assistive technology to support communication and learning.
Psychologists provide support and therapeutic intervention for children and their parents who are experiencing concerns such as anxiety and depression, or other emotional or behavioural issues.
