Community Sessions at KGV Pool

St.Giles is pleased to be able to offer Community Sessions at the KGV pool in Glenorchy between 9th January – 3rd February 2023.

We are planning to offer regular community sessions in 2023.

Who can attend these sessions?

These sessions are open to anyone in the community who would like to access a warm water pool.  St.Giles are unable to provide assessments for new aquatic programs at this time so you will need to bring your own program with you.

What is the cost?

The cost is $25 per session.  Sessions can be purchased in blocks of 5 sessions.  You will be sent an invoice with details for payment.  Payment options will be included on the invoice but include paying over the phone or coming into St.Giles to pay.  Payment is required before your session bookings can be confirmed.

If you wish to pay for these sessions using funding (i.e. NDIS, private health) please discuss this with your funding body (i.e. NDIS plan manager, health fund).

How do I book?

Please fill out the form below or call 6238 1888 to book into sessions.  There is a limited number of places available in each session.

Cancellations

Please call 6238 1888 if you are unable to attend your session.  If you cancel a session with less than 24 hours notice or do not attend a session, you will be charged for this session.

St.Giles reserves the right to cancel sessions due to staff availability, limited bookings or facility issues.  Where possible you will be notified of any cancellation 24 hours before the session.

How will the sessions run?

Each session is for 1 hour.  This time includes any time required to get changed and dressed due to limited space available in the change rooms.  There will be a St.Giles staff member available on the pool deck to provide supervision to people accessing the water.  They are unable to provide any therapy or support with a therapy program.

Health precautions and considerations

We recommend that you discuss participation in warm water activities with your GP before accessing the pool.  People accessing the pool do so at their own risk. St.Giles accepts no responsibility and shall not be liable for any damage, accident or injury.

Can a support person attend?

Due to limited space at the pool we ask people to only attend with additional people if they are required for support.  You can have someone attend with you if you need support to get changed / dressed or in the water.  Please advise if you will have a support person in the water when you are booking.
