St Giles services on the North West Coast has the opportunity for a Room Leader and Early Childhood Educator, we require a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educators to cover these roles in our North West Tasmania Autism Specific Learning and Care Service. We would be able to offer between 12 and 38 hours per week depending on the needs and preferences of our preferred candidate/s.
The roles play a critical role in early intervention program delivery to children with autism and autism-like characteristics at our Burnie Hub and/or our Devonport Bee Me Program (delivered in conjunction with Devonport Child Care Centres). They involve working closely with other educators, early childhood teachers and the centre’s allied health team to implement each child’s individual plan which is delivered within our specialist long day-care program. The Qualified Educator may also have the opportunity to deliver early intervention services in other settings including other ECEC services and group therapy programs with the oversight of allied health and/or teaching staff.
Successful candidates will possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) or part way through your Diploma and will be able to work effectively as part of team within a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidates must be able to open or close the centre (open from 7.30am to 5.30pm) at least 2 days per week. You must have or be able to obtain a Working With Vulnerable Persons check (child- related activity), National Police Check, pre-employment medical check and have a current driver licence.
