Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy assists children to achieve their optimum level of independence, function and quality of life each day across home, school and play settings.
St Giles assists children with:
- delays in development of early play and learning skills for babies, toddlers and preschoolers;
- fine motor, visual perceptual or attention difficulties such as handwriting, drawing, cutting, puzzles, attention to usual detail and attention span;
- unusual, under or over sensitivity to touch, movement, noise or smell;
- self care skills such as feeding, dressing and toileting;
- specialised equipment and technology for children with more complex needs such as customised seating, manual and powered wheelchairs, toilet chairs and rails and ramps, computers for playing and writing, switch operated toys etc;
- home and school modifications and access issues.
