Launceston General Hospital

In 1937, the Launceston General Hospital was overwhelmed in caring for the large number of children affected by Polio.

St Giles was created to provide aftercare support for these children and the LGH was instrumental in the formation of St Giles.

We have since maintained a close and mutually valued association in the exchange of staff and services and through the LGH professional assistance and sponsorship.

The LGH is a Life Governor of St Giles is recognition of this support.
