New Children's Repsite Centre planned for Launceston

We are pleased to announce plans are well underway to develop a second children's respite centre for Launceston that will be adjacent to our exisiting children's repsite centre developed and funded by the community in 1999.

The second centre will assist us in offering respite to suit age groupings and other requirements that have been identified by the families using the service.

Over the past few months we have been trialling a new classification and service system at the exisiting children's respite centre. The new structure increases staff responsibility and focuses on mentoring and guidance, client health and safety and quality service provision.

This new system will enable us to offer the respite program across the two centres.

The new centre is nearing completion and should be in operation by the end of September this year.
