The norms of life we take for granted... yet norms are not granted in life

NEW: Our booklet on our 70 year history available under the history section. Please download or contact us for a hard copy.

St Giles is one of Tasmania's largest disability service providers. Each year we support up to 2500 children and adults with disabilities, representing 400,000 hours of care provided by 250 highly trained personnel.
St Giles is a private not-for-profit organisation incorporated under the Associations Incorporations Act 1964. The State and Federal Governments provide up to 70% of our funding. Remaining funds are raised through the generous support of donors, businesses, sponsors, trusts, foundations, service clubs, sporting groups, schools, bequests, the general community and fundraising activities that are undertaken with the assistance of many hundreds of volunteers who support our efforts. Additional funds are also raised to provide a range of specialised equipment.

St Giles is a synergy of governments, businesses, service clubs, groups and individuals working together to make a powerful difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
Ian Wright, Chairman - 2005

St Giles is one of seven organisations affiliated with Ability First Australia. We are also affiliated with Easter Seals USA, both in our own right and through Ability First.
