Communication Access Service
Communication Access Service is funded by the State Government to provide services in Southern Tasmania only.
The Service provides specialist assessment for the prescription, trial, training and use of suitable assistive technology, including:
The service also provides telephone advice about specialised equipment, consultation and training service to parents, carers, teachers, and community education.‘
In Northern Tasmania, the Independent Living Centre’s Technology Service is based in Launceston and provides a similar service, including outreach services to North West Tasmania.
