SUPPORT ST GILES
St Giles has always prudently managed its strong donor and generous community support base.
The presence of chartered accountants on our board for most of our 74 years has seen St Giles earn the trust of philanthropic organisations, estate managers and individuals across Tasmania and even overseas.
St Giles is not management heavy, with just two fundraising staff statewide.
All of our events are cost effective and transparently managed.
We raise our funds with a full calendar of fundraising events - including the Niche Market, I-Know Trivia and Walk With Me - and a pro-active approach to government and foundation grant applications as well as mid-year and Christmas appeals to help us meet our funding shortfalls.
We rely upon the generosity of Tasmanian businesses and the community and no donation is too small.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Many generous Tasmanians volunteer their time and expertise to St Giles to ensure the success of our event programme.
With governments, business and the community working together to support St Giles, we are able to make a positive difference in the lives of Tasmanian children and adults with disabilities.
If you wish to make a donation, you can either download the donation form and mail or fax or donate securely online.

One of the best ways to ensure St Giles can continue our vital work is by leaving St Giles a legacy in your Will.
A Will allows you to say what provisions you want to give to your family, to leave a personal keepsake for close friends and extend your lifetime of support for the organisations like St Giles that are important to you.
By remembering St Giles in your Will, you will make a positive difference in the lives of Tasmanian children and adults living with a disability.
A bequest is simply the legal term for a gift in a Will.
The different types of bequests are :
Specific – the most simple type whereby you just specify a particular item/items.
Percentage – you may wish to share your estate amongst a number of people or organisations such as St Giles, without identifying particular items or property or amounts of money.
Residue – after making provision for your family and friends and payment of expenses, you may choose to leave the remainder of your estate to an organisation such as St Giles.
We recommend that you talk to your Solicitor or Trustee Company who will advise you of the appropriate wording for leaving a bequest to St Giles Society.
